White Spruce

White Spruce (Picea glauca) is a hardy tree that typically grows between 50-100 feet tall.

Because it is native to Alberta, it typically requires less maintenance and is often used along with Blue Spruce in shelterbelt plantings to limit the negative effects of monocultures and add color contrast. We currently have White Spruce from 1-4 feet tall.

Mugo Pine (Pinus mugo) is a carefree evergreen that can take the place of overused shrubs. Mugo Pines are neat in appearance with a naturally spreading habit. They grow to a maximum height of 20 feet with a wide spread and tolerate light shearing. They adapt well to a wide range of soil types and are drought tolerant once established. This makes them useful for privacy screens where height is a concern, such as planting under power lines or for natural borders.
